Our Community

Parents & Friends

Our community is an integral part of Sophia Mundi. We thrive on the deep connections shared among students, parents, and staff. Our students build life-long friendships, and so do our parents. We pride ourselves on a culture that is supportive, welcoming, inclusive and collaborative.  

We encourage new and existing families to join and support our Parents & Friends Group. All our families’ contributions help to nourish the school and are gratefully appreciated.

Our Parents & Friends group is a team of parents dedicated to fostering a strong and supportive community that actively contributes to the wellbeing of our students and the culture of our school.  

We strive to create an inclusive and nurturing environment and are dedicated to engaging the community through school events and fundraising activities, providing a positive and friendly community beyond the classroom.

The Parents & Friends group (P&F) encourages the involvement of all parents, caregivers, and school staff.

The P&F fosters friendships and develops a support network within the school community by;

  • Fostering Collaboration: we aim to build strong partnerships between parents, guardians, families, friends and staff by working together to create a harmonious and nurturing educational environment for our students and building community spirit.
  • Nurturing Wellbeing: we promote a supportive and caring community, including welcoming new families into the school, and organising workshops and educational sessions that nurture wellbeing.
  • Facilitating Communication: we strive to facilitate open and effective communication channels between parents, caregivers, friends and staff, ensuring that everyone is well-informed and engaged in the school community.
  • Promoting the school: we work to increase awareness and exposure of our school, with the intention of creating a strong public identity, and promoting the unique offering that SMSS provides.
  • Supporting the School: co-ordinating social events for parents and children, and fundraising and sourcing grant opportunities to assist the school in subsidising events and providing a variety of additional resources.
